1.
Name: -
1.1. The
Club shall be called Tiverton Town Youth Development (TTYD)
2.
Overview: -
2.1. Tiverton
Town Youth Development has been formed in association with Tiverton Town FC
within the town of Tiverton and the County of Devon. Tiverton Town Youth
Development is associated to the Devon FA and will abide by their rules and Code
Of Conducts. Tiverton Town Youth Development will also abide to any rules of
leagues that they are entered.
3.
Executive Committee: -
3.1. An
Executive Committee will be formed which may include: - Chairperson, Treasurer,
Club Secretary, Football Secretary, Youth Development Officers, Team Managers
and Committee Members.
3.2. The
Executive Committee shall consist of at least 5 members.
3.3. The
Tiverton Town Youth Development Executive committee will deal with any matter
not covered by The Tiverton Town Youth Development Constitution.
3.4. The
Executive Committee shall have the ultimate decision on all matters.
3.5. All
Executive Committee decisions are final.
3.6. There
will be an Annual General Meeting held in April/May of each year.
3.7. The
Executive Committee Members will be elected at The Annual General Meeting to
serve for a period of one year.
3.8. Executive
Committee Members can offer themselves for
re-election at the end of their term of office.
3.9.
The Executive Committee should encourage and welcome any new members.
3.10. In
the event of an officer of the club being unable to fulfil his/her duties for
any reason, a successor can be elected at an Extraordinary General Meeting.
3.11. Any
club member being dissatisfied with the work of an Executive Committee Member,
must notify The Club Secretary in writing, explaining why they are dissatisfied
with the Executive Committee Member and lodge a vote of no confidence. A vote of
no confidence can only be heard at an Extraordinary General Meeting, which shall
be called by the Chairman upon receipt of an application by no less than eight
club members.
3.12. Extraordinary
Meetings can only be called after seven days notice.
3.13. The
Club can be dissolved if two thirds of the eligible members vote in favour at
the Annual General Meeting or at an Extraordinary General Meeting. On
dissolution, any funds remaining (after paying off all debits) and equipment
owned by The Club will be dispersed by a majority vote at an Extraordinary
General Meeting.
3.14. The
Executive Committee will normally meet every month.
3.15. An
Agenda will be circulated before The Executive Committee Meeting, as will the
minutes of the previous meeting.
4.
Aims & Objectives: -
4.1. The
aim of The Club is to promote sport, and sporting behaviour throughout The Club
members, officials and parents.
4.2.
To encourage participation in, and enjoyment of, football.
4.3. To
develop the skills and fitness of all participating club players and officials.
4.4. To
provide a non-competitive/competitive environment to play development football
in.
4.5. To
promote sporting links with other clubs.
4.6. To
encourage Committee Members, Team Managers, Trainers & Parents to participate in
the running, fund raising and promotion of the club.
4.7. To
encourage an open and relaxed atmosphere between all club members.
4.8. To
encourage club members, officials and parents to comply with The Tiverton Town
Youth Development Code Of Conduct
5.
Membership: -
5.1. Membership
of The Club shall be invitation only, but not unreasonably restricted on the
grounds of sex, race, or of political, religious or other opinions. Although any
person must be prepared to accept and support the objectives of The Club.
5.2. All
signed children automatically apply for membership of the club. Parents of
signed children can also become members of the club.
5.3. A
membership application form will need to be completed and reviewed by The
Executive Committee before membership is granted.
5.4. Membership
forms must be accompanied by any fees due (If applicable)
5.5. The
Executive Committee has the power to refuse membership.
5.6. For
a club member to play in a league match they will need to be registered with the
relevant League, a registration form will need to be completed and if necessary
a fee paid.
5.7. The
Executive Committee has the power to dissolve and if necessary withdraw any
registered team from any relevant League should the need arise.
6.
Discipline: -
6.1. We
will adhere to The Tiverton Town FC and Devon FA Code Of Conducts and their
disciplinary procedures at all times.
6.2. If
a player receives a fine from any of our governing bodies payment of this fine
will be the responsibility of the player OR the player’s parents/guardians. The
fine received will have a minimum charge of £10 added to cover the costs to
Tiverton Town Youth Development. There is NO maximum charge for costs and each
case will be reviewed individually. Refusal to pay the fine will be dealt
with by The Executive Committee and may involve removal from the club.
6.3. Tiverton
Town Youth Development has their own Code of Conduct and all children, parents &
trainers/managers are expected to observe this Code of Conduct at all times.
6.4. Tiverton
Town Youth Development takes the behaviour of its players seriously. It has a
yellow and red card system which involves suspensions from training and match
days. This is explained fully in the player’s behaviour document.
7.
Complaints: -
7.1. The
following complaints procedure should be adopted if any club member, family
member or member of the general public feels they need to complain to Tiverton
Town Youth Development. Firstly a complaints form should be obtained from The
Club Secretary. After completing the form The Club Secretary will take the
complaint to the next Executive Committee Meeting to be reviewed by The
Executive Committee and a decision will be made. Following The Executive
Committees decision a letter will be sent with the outcome of The Executive
Committee’s decision.
8.
Finance: -
8.1. The
Treasurer will supply at each Executive Committee Meeting, an up to date record
of The Club’s financial position. This will include a record of any receipts and
expenditure since the last Executive Committee Meeting.
8.2. No
individual is allowed to authorise any expenditure without The Executive
Committee’s permission.
8.3. Only
the following Executive Committee Members are authorised to sign The Club’s
chequebook: - The Treasurer, and The Youth Development Officers.
8.4. Two
out of the above three people are required to sign The Club’s chequebook.
8.5. All
Club Members, Managers/Trainers must hand in all monies collected (for whatever
reason) to The Treasurer as soon as possible after receipt of the money.
8.6. No
Club Members, Managers/Trainers will pay out any monies other than Referees
fees, or upon production of a valid receipt and given prior approval by The
Executive Committee.
8.7. At
the Annual General Meeting, The Treasurer will supply a statement showing The
Clubs income, expenditure and current financial position since the last Annual
General Meeting.
9.
Communication: -
9.1. We
will, whenever possible, communicate with club members, families etc. with an
open mind making as much information as possible freely available to all.
9.2. Communication
will be via notice boards, newsletters, e-mail and our Internet site.
9.3. We
will encourage feedback from all club members, parents and the general public.
10.
Training: -
10.1. Team
managers and trainers will be trained to at least the minimum standard FA Level
1 (Junior Team Manager).
10.2. Trainers/Managers
will attend, where possible, any relevant training courses as suggested by The
Executive Committee.
10.3. All
Trainers/Managers will have the relevant Police checks.
