Tiverton Town & East Devon College Football & Education Scheme
Potentially a two-year programme, the scheme is aimed at young players with aspirations to improve their football skills but who also appreciate the importance if continuing their studies. It offers the opportunity to gain a recognised educational qualification whilst also receiving top class football coaching and playing a high standard of competitive football.
Expertly managed by a team of highly qualified professionals, the scheme provides players with visible pathways into professional and semi-professional football.
East Devon College itself is one of the top providers of quality further and higher education in the region.
Working with a positive, friendly and supportive environment, the scheme provides players with the perfect opportunity to fulfil their potential, both on and off the field. Every effort is made to ensure that all players enjoy the use of the very best facilities and equipment, culminating in annual tours and training camps at the world class training bases situated at Coverciano and Sportilia in Italy. It is our intention to again utilise these surroundings during the 2008/09 season.

Pre-Season training starts late July 2006 with the academic programmes starting in September 2006.
What standard of football is available?
A representative side will compete in the British Colleges League, home to Football League sides like Bristol Rovers, Bournemouth etc.
Can I play for any team other than tiverton town ?
Appearances are monitored during the season and, providing players are not suffering from ‘burnout’ and that we are kept fully informed of games played, then we have absolutely no objection to players playing for their local club sides.
What will I be able to do at the end of the 2 years?
There are many possible options open to graduates of the scheme: Professional contract, Higher Education, Football Coaching, Fitness Trainer, a Scholarship in USA, PE Teacher or a Career in the Leisure Industry are all real examples of what past graduates have gone on to do.
