Why Join
Tiverton Town FC?
|
Well there are many reasons to be part of a
semi professional football club at a young age. Being in a position to offer
youngsters football up to the age of 18 is rare in youth football and a big
reason why you should get involved as young as possible with the club. It is
progressively more difficult to break in to teams as you get older. Of course
many of our Under 18 players have made the step up to play Southern Premier
League Football with the 1st team. Obviously the main aim of the club is to
provide fun and safe conditions in which young people can enjoy the wonderful
sport of football. Tiverton Town FC not only provide this but also support the
youth players with additional support and facilities that only a semi
professional club can.
All players and parents are considered

Training for the colts section is open to all boys and
girls regardless of ability. However we do limit numbers on how many players
each coach will take. Some players will be asked to represent Tiverton Town FC
in matches in local leagues. If you are interested in training with us please
contact the webmaster or youth development officers.
Just come down and join in the fun try our training sessions out for free for a
few weeks and see if you enjoy it.

Junior Section
11 a side - Under 11`s to Under 16`s |
Our Junior section hold open trials in closed
season for players of all ability although currently we only cater for boys
teams. Successful trialists will train and represent Tiverton Town in local
leagues and friendlies against other professional clubs.
Training is also offered to players who do
not play for Tiverton Town, but wish to top up their skill levels and push for a
playing place in the future. Again we only allow our coaches a certain number of
players so places are limited.
|
Youth Section
11 a side - Under 18`s |
Our Youth section hold open trials in closed season for
players in the local area. The under 18`s are mainly fed each year by our Under
16`s however other trialists are welcome. Successful trialists will train and
represent Tiverton Town in local leagues and friendlies against other
professional clubs.

Goalkeepers
Under 7 to Under 16 |
In addition to normal team training, Tiverton Town provide
all our goalkeepers dedicated goalkeeping coaching. We recognise that
Goalkeepers need a different type of training to outfield players. All our
keepers train together for at least one hour a week away from their team.

Training the
coaches of the future
Under 12`s to Under 16`s |
Each season Colin Nation invites Tivvy players (U12`s to
U16`s) to apply for an in house coaching course. This involves these older
players getting involved and training with the youngest members of the club.
This enables these players to experience the challenges of coaching and
hopefully get them in to a position to take the FA Level 1 coaching certificate
when old enough. In most cases the fee for this certificate would be paid for by
the club.
All players signed for the club are expected to train
every week. Included in their signing on fee is a full training kit including
tracksuit, shirt, shorts and socks which is to be worn to every session. We
expect players to turn up on time and ready to train with a good positive
attitude. Appropriate footwear, shin pads and a non fizzy drink should be
brought to every session. Players should not wear any jewellery or chew chewing
gum.
