West Hill Wasps 1 v 2
Tivvy U11's
Tivvy Town were on the road
again with an excellent away record all season drawing 1 and
winning the rest, with the yellows needing at least 1 point
to become league champions they knew they would be up
against it with a strong West Hill side who have a very
impressive record undefeated at home. Tivvy were having to
be at their best right from the start and were looking the
likeliest to carve out an opening to put themselves ahead,
but with a ball over the top from West Hill and a defensive
misunderstanding the West Hill striker took advantage to put
the hosts 1-0 up, but this seemed to spur Tivvy on and with
some good link up play Scott McMillan equalised just before
the break.
In the second half the game
started with the same tempo and with Tivvy having a lot of
the ball and pressurising the West Hills defence coming
close on several occasions the second goal came very early
on with the hosts trying to clear their lines Jack Rainey
reacted the quickest to give Tivvy a 2-1 lead. West Hill
caused a few scares themselves forcing goalkeeper Ryan
Clarke to make a couple of good saves. It was an excellent
team performance right to the end the day belonged to Tivvy
not only for being the only team to defeat West Hill at
their place but for an impressive season and winning the
league – Well done boys: Ryan Clarke, Ollie Morgan, Callum
Hutchings, Euan Howells, Reece Kingdom, Thomas Parkins,
Scott Townsend, Scott McMillan, Jack Rainey, Jack Dickson,
Josh Bruce and Daniel Marek.

Ottery St Mary 2 v 9
Tivvy U11's
Tivvy were away in another mid
week encounter against Ottery St Mary. Although it was
evenly matched for the first 5 minutes, shortly after Tivvy
got themselves ahead with a quick couple of goals and there
was no looking back. Tivvy went on to win the game
comfortably 9-2 with some excellent goals scored from Jack
Dickson (3), Scott Townsend (3), Jack Rainey (2), Ollie
Morgan to round off another good all round team
performance. Also playing well Scott McMillan, Ryan Clarke,
Euan Howells, Thomas Parkins, Reece Kingdom, Josh Bruce,
Daniel Marek and Ross Holmes.

Tivvy U11's 1 v 0 Exmouth Town
Tiverton were at home in
their 1st mid week game of the season and
continued in winning ways with a narrow 1-0 victory, the
goal coming halfway through the second half with a ball
launched into the box from Callum Hutchings for Scott
McMillan to score 15 minutes from time. Chances came and
went for Tivvy during the game with most of the team getting
shots in on goal but Exmouth made it very difficult at times
and defended well in numbers and stuck in their right to the
end, so well done to Exmouth. Possession wise Tivvy
dominated play but were not at their best, but showed that
sometimes you have to grind out a result and this game was
certainly one of those, so well done boys for the hard work
right to the end.

St Martins 1 v 5
Tivvy U11's
Tiverton Town put in a
fantastic team performance away to St Martins in a very
competitive game from start to finish and despite the
weather Tivvy were well up for it. Tivvy hit the woodwork
in the first 5 minutes with St Martins also going close, the
yellows got the breakthrough with a surging run down the
right hand side from Jack Rainey to strike home Tivvy’s
first and within 5 minutes and some excellent football Jack
Rainey broke through in behind the St Martins defence to
fire home Tivvy’s second. With a free kick directed into
Tivvy’s penalty box St Martins were left with a free header
to score their only goal of the game to make it 2-1 but
towards the end of the first half Tivvy were more and more
on top and after a neat exchange of passes Jack Dickson
finished off a good move on the edge of the hosts penalty
area to slot home Tivvy’s third just before the half time
whistle.
The second half saw Tivvy
show true grit and determination to keep hold of their lead
with Ryan Clarke pulling of an excellent point blank save
and Ollie Morgan, Callum Hutchings and Reece Kingdom all
working hard at the back to halt any come back from St
Martins, Tivvy were also excellent going forward with Euan
Howells getting on the end of Jack Rainey’s cross to hit
home first time to go 4-1 up. Tivvy continued to keep hold
of the ball in St Martins half pressuring their defence
right to the end which paid off with a good finish from
Scott Townsend to finish off the game with a well deserved
5-1 victory. Also playing well in midfield was Thomas
Parkins, Josh Bruce and Daniel Marek. Strong performances
coming from Ollie Morgan, Jack Rainey, Euan Howells and Ryan
Clarke.
Thanks must also go to the
referee who controlled the game well throughout.

Tivvy U11's 3 v 0 Exwick Youth
Tiverton were away to
Exwick Youth and gave another fine footballing display
playing their best football in the first half going in to
half time 2-0 up with a fine brace from Euan Howells.
Tiverton made a few changes in the second half and continued
to dominate the play against a determined Exwick side who
kept trying to create an opening for themselves but could
not find a way past Tivvy’s defence who always looked
comfortable throughout the game. Tivvy created several more
chances but with Exwicks keeper in fine form pulled off some
excellent saves. It took 20 minutes into the second half
for Tivvy to grab their third goal through a rebounded shot
from Ollie Morgan to finish the game off 3-0.

April 2008 Exeter Friendly League
Tivvy U11's 1 v 0 Crediton Saints
Tiverton faced Crediton
Saints at home and played some excellent football throughout
the game. The yellows created several chances and scored
the only goal of the game in the first half through Reece
Kingdom who chipped the ball into the far post for Scott
Townsend to guide home. Crediton Saints were always on the
back foot with Scott Townsend, Scott McMillan and Jack
Rainey penetrating the Saints defence at all times hitting
the woodwork several times and if it wasn’t for the Saints
keeper pulling off some fine saves from Callum Hutchings,
Thomas Parkins and Jack Rainey who all had good strikes on
goal it could have been 4 or 5 more goals for the yellows.
Also equally as good was Tivvy’s back line with some stern
defensive work to cancel out any scoring options for
Crediton, leaving goalkeeper Ryan Clarke quiet between the
sticks. Full credit to all the boys who worked very hard to
control the game throughout to round off a comprehensive
victory. Putting in strong performances were Callum
Hutchings, Ollie Morgan, Scott McMillan, Jack Rainey, Reece
Kingdom and Scott Townsend also playing well were Ryan
Clarke, Thomas Parkins, Josh Bruce, Euan Howells, Jack
Dickson, Daniel Marek and Ross Holmes

Phoenix Club 1 v 5
Tivvy U11's
Tiverton Town were away to
a strong Phoenix Club side who are also doing very well in
the league but in-form Tivvy made it 6 away wins on the trot
and ran out comfortable 5-1 winners in a very entertaining
game. Tivvy started the game very well playing some
excellent football considering the conditions to put
themselves 2-0 up at half time with the first goal coming
from a Jack Rainey corner to come back off the foot of the
post for Scott Townsend to slot home and another goal came
soon after with a well driven ball at goal from Jack
Rainey. In the second half Tivvy started on top with good
decision making from goalkeeper Ryan Clarke and excellent
defensive work through Callum Hutchings, Ollie Morgan and
Reece Kingdom and good play from Thomas Parkins in the
middle of mid-field to free up balls to allow further
attacking chances for Tivvy but it was Phoenix who struck in
the third goal to make it 2-1 to put themselves right back
in the game, this also spurred Tivvy on to up their game and
another quality corner was equally met with a looping header
from Scott McMillan into the top right hand corner. With
some great link up play from the attacking Tiverton side and
good balls into the box 2 further goals came from Scott
McMillan and Scott Townsend. Also playing well Josh Bruce,
Daniel Marek and Ross Holmes.

Heavitree Youth 1 v 2
Tivvy U11's
Tiverton Town travelled away
to a well organised Heavitree Youth and in very windy
conditions Tivvy were quick to stamp their authority on this
game and showed they could battle as well as play some
excellent football and come out worthy 2-1 winners. In a
good match Jack Rainey broke past the Heavitree defence to
shoot past the keeper to put the yellows 1-0 up midway
through the first half and more pressure from the yellows
paid off with a forced own goal from a Scott McMillan cross
to go in at half time 2-0 up. In the second half Tivvy
continued to play well with some excellent goalkeeping from
Ryan Clarke and defensive work from Ollie Morgan and Scott
Townsend, and good flank work in midfield from Euan
Howells. Tivvy had a few more chances to extend their lead
with some good balls into the hosts penalty area which
Heavitree defended well at times and managed to force a late
consolation own goal for themselves in the last few minutes
to finish off the game 2-1. Also playing well, Reece
Kingdom, Thomas Parkins, Josh Bruce and Daniel Marek.

March 2008 Exeter Friendly League
West Exe Athletic 1 v 2
Tivvy U11's
Tiverton Town secured a 2-1
victory away to West Exe Athletic as the rain poured down.
In the first half Tivvy found it hard to adapt on a very
small pitch which seemed to suit the hosts that bit more,
although Tivvy had a couple of chances they could not find
the net and capitalise, evenly so West Exe had chances of
their own and took the lead 1-0. In a frustrating first
half Tivvy found themselves 1-0 down at the break.
Tivvy Town had to make the pitch as
big as possible and were playing a lot better football and
pressurised West Exe into their own half with Tivvy getting
a well deserved equaliser through a Jack Rainey corner which
was met by the head of Scott Townsend who directed the ball
into the back of the net. As the second half wore on the
yellows were looking for the winner and forcing about 6 or 7
corners creating scoring opportunities only to be stopped by
a crowded goal mouth all the time but with another cross
into a crowded box the ball came back out to Ollie Morgan
who made no mistake and fired in the winner. Very strong
performances coming from Scott and Thomas Parkins in the
middle of mid-field. Full credit goes out to West Exe
Athletic who continued to battle to the end to make it a
very well fought and contested game. Also Tivvy showed true
grit and determination to come from a goal behind to win
2-1, well done boys!

Topsham Town 1 v 4
Tivvy U11's
Tivvy Under 11’s were away
from home against Topsham Town and did not disappoint in the
first half. The yellows displayed some good football on a
relatively small pitch getting some well worked balls in and
around the Topsham Town box to penetrate and create scoring
opportunities to put the yellows 3-0 up at half time with a
brace from Reece Kingdom and one from Jack Rainey.
In the second half with the
game looking to be well wrapped up a very spirited Topsham
side kept going, and with a mix up at the back forced a goal
back to give themselves a glimmer of hope of getting back
into the game. Tivvy soon realised they had to up their
game and created many more chances to put themselves even
further ahead, and had to wait until the last five minutes
with a left footed strike from Ollie Morgan to make it 4-1.
A well earned victory for Tivvy with strong performances
from Reece Kingdom, Josh Bruce and Daniel Marek, also
playing well Jack Rainey, Callum Hutchings, Ollie Morgan,
Scott Townsend, Ryan Clarke, Jack Dickson and Euan Howells.

Culm United Sparrows 0 v 2
Tivvy U11's
Another top of the table
clash for Tivvy away to Culm United, and the first half was
a closely fought contest in which both sides were trying to
create chances but neither could quite get the better of
opposing defences. Towards the end of the first half Tivvy
started to penetrate Culms defence forcing a couple corners
and chances to try and take the lead but Culms defence stood
strong and went into the half time break 0-0.
The second half saw Tivvy
make a couple of changes and it quickly started to show.
The yellows were starting to take control of the game and
got their just rewards 10 minutes into the second half after
good pressure from Tivvy Callum Hutchings moved forward onto
the ball and unleashed a long range strike low into the back
of Culms net to put Tivvy a well deserved 1-0 up. With
Tivvy now dominating most of the play and looking to get
forward at all times it was Jack Rainey who picked the ball
up on the half way line and made an excellent run down the
right hand side getting in behind Culms defence to cross a
great ball in across the face of the goal for Euan Howells
to slot home Tivvy`s second. Although Tivvy had to be on
their toes right to the end with Culm never giving up and
trying to create a few chances of their own, Tivvy were
always looking comfortable at the back with accomplished
work from Ollie Morgan and Callum Hutchings who never put a
foot wrong throughout the game. Strong performances on the
day coming from Callum Hutchings, Ollie Morgan, Jack Rainey
and Scott Townsend. Also working hard in this excellent
team performance was Ryan Clarke, Euan Howells, Reece
Kingdom, Jack Dickson, Thomas Parkins, Josh Bruce and
Daniel Marek.
Our thanks go out to Culm
for excellent hospitality at the end of the game and would
also like to thank the referee for a fair and well contested
game.

Stoke Hill Juniors 1 v 5
Tivvy U11's
Tiverton
Town travelled to Stoke Hill who are also going well at the
top end of the table but it was Tivvy who came out 5-1
winners and full credit goes out to the whole team. Tivvy
took the game to Stoke Hill from kick off and got good balls
in and around Stoke Hills goal mouth to put a lot of
pressure on the opposition and capitalised with Jack Dickson
grabbing all 3 goals in the first half. Stoke Hill had a
few chances of their own but were denied by Tivvy’s
goalkeeper Ryan Clarke who was on top of his game to pull
off a couple of fine saves and the defence of Callum
Hutchings, Scott Townsend and Ollie Morgan keeping Stoke
Hill at bay. In the second half Tivvy started much the same
where they left off but it was Stoke Hill who found the net
with their only goal of the game which seemed to spur Tivvy
on for more attacking play with Scott McMillan, Jack Rainey
and Euan Howells all linking up well and Jack Rainey scoring
the fourth and Scott McMillan rounding off a good day to
make it 5. Also playing well for the yellows were Reece
Kingdom, Josh Bruce and Thomas Parkins

Tivvy U11's 6 v 0 Ottery St Mary
Tiverton U11's started where they left off
last year with a 6-0 demolition at home to Ottery St Mary.
Tivvy started the game very well working the ball forward
with some excellent passing and movement, creating chances
with Ottery having to defend in numbers, but more pressure
from Tivvy paid off with Jack Rainey opening the scoring to
send Tivvy on their way and within a few minutes Scott
McMillan added a second to put Tivvy a well deserved 2-0 up
at half time. In the second half Tivvy kept hold of the
ball well for long periods and the flood gates opened with
more goals coming from Scott Townsend, Callum Hutchings and
2 further goals to make a hatrick from Scott McMillan. Full
credit goes out to Ottery St Mary who stuck in their right
to the end also the Otters goal keeper diving the right way
to deny Tivvy of another goal with a good penalty save. A
good gritty performance from all the players Ryan Clarke,
Callum Hutchings, Ollie Morgan, Euan Howells, Jack Dickson,
Thomas Parkins, Scott Townsend, Scott McMillan, Jack Rainey,

Cup
Tivvy U11's 4 v 0 Heavitree
In-form Tiverton Town Under 11’s saw themselves
through in the second round of the cup with an impressive 4-0
victory over well organised Heavitree Youth. It was a fairly
well balanced game in the opening 20 minutes with both sides
cancelling each other out. As the half progressed Tivvy were
looking the stronger and more likely to score pressuring the
visitors defence and it paid off when Jack Rainey laid in Scott
McMillan to slot home Tivvy’s first to go in at half time 1-0
up. Tivvy started the second half much where they left off but
it was Heavitree who came closest to scoring early on if it
wasn’t for goal keeper Ryan Clarke to pull of a great one on one
save to keep Tivvy in front. After 10 minutes a powering run
from Jack Rainey from inside his own half crossed a great ball
in to the box which was equally met by Scott McMillan to fire
home his second for a cracking goal, with Tivvy now dominating
large parts of the play, minutes after Tivvy were on the attack
again with Scott Townsend shooting home Tivvy’s third. Although
Heavitree never gave up Tiverton were creating more and more
chances with Callum Hutchings picking up the ball in Heavitree’s
final third to fire home a long range effort to round off a very
good all round team performances from Ryan Clarke, Ollie Morgan,
Callum Hutchings, Euan Howells, Thomas Parkins, Josh Bruce,
Reece Kingdom, Scott Townsend, Scott McMillan and Jack Rainey.

Tivvy U11's 4 v 1 St Martins
Tiverton Town Under 11`s
entertained a very strong St
Martins side and although they went behind in the first ten minutes
they soon hit back with a deserved equaliser from Jack Rainey.
Although St Martins got forward themselves at times trying to create
chances of their own, they could not find a way pass the excellent
Tivvy defence of Callum Hutchings, Ollie Morgan & Euan Howells who
were in excellent form. The Yellows started to dominate the play,
getting forward and pressurising the visitors defence which paid off
with Scott McMillan forcing an own goal to give the home side a 2 v
1 lead in the first half. Going in to the second half Tivvy
continued where they left off with good movement and passing from
Thomas Parkins to Scott Townsend in a wide midfield position who
crossed the ball in to the edge of the box which Rainey latched on
to and fired home Tivvy`s third. This seemed to of killed off any
sort of comeback from St Martins, with the game nearing the end
Tivvy created more chances with Parkins banging home to make it 4 v
1. Also putting in excellent performances were Goalkeeper Ryan
Clarke, Josh Bruce, Reece Kingdom and Jack Dickson.

Tivvy U11's 7 v 3 Exwick Youth
Tiverton Town produced a good all
round team performance to beat Exwick Youth 7 v 3, with Jack Rainey
opening the scoring with a fine strike sending Tivvy on their way.
He also became provider for Tivvys second with Jack Dickson putting
the yellows two up. After 20 minutes with constant pressure and hard
work from the home side Ollie Morgan fired home from long range to
make it 3 v 0. Just before the break Jack Dickson made it 4 v 0 with
another great strike. Going in to the second half Exwick were trying
to get back in to the game with some good attacking football.
However the Yellows caught Exwick on the break with good passing and
movement from back to front. This found Jack Dickson to slot home
his hatrick to make it 5 v 0. The game was far from over with
chances coming at either end with Callum Hutchings rattling the
cross bar and Scott McMillan, Jack Rainey, Euan Howells and Reece
Kingdom all going close for the Yellows. In this end to end period
Exwick did manage to score three goals back. However Tivvy went on
to score two more courtesy of Thomas Parkins and Ollie Morgan. Josh
Bruce, Scott Townsend and Ryan Clarke all had good games and Callum
Hutching put in an outstanding performance.

Tivvy U11's
Tivvy enjoyed the majority of the
first half possession but were unable to break the deadlock with Crediton
defending in numbers limiting Tivvy to a few good chances on goal
with Crediton having a few long range efforts themselves.
Tiverton stepped up their game in
the second half and attacking stronger. It was the home sides
goalkeeper who kept his side on level terms with two good saves to
keep out shots from Jack Rainey and Jack Dickson. Five minutes from
time Dickson had a chance to clinch all three points with the
slightest of contacts would of found the net. Tivvy were dominating
to the finish and deserved the win but had to settle for the draw.
Putting in strong performances were Callum Hutchings,
Jack Rainey, Scott McMillan, Scott Townsend, Josh Bruce and also
playing well was Ryan Clarke in Goal.

Tivvy U11's 2 v 0 West Exe Rangers
Tivvy hosted Westexe Rangers in the first round of the cup, the
yellows were always in control right from the start. Despite
Westexe defending in numbers Tivvy forced the play creating a number
of corners and chances enough to finish the game off a long time
before the final whistle. After going 1-0 up in the first half
through a well taken strike from Reece Kingdom, it was pretty much
the same in the second half with Jack Rainey hitting home Tivvy’s
second to finish off a comfortable all round team performance.
Strong performances from Scott Townsend and Josh Bruce. Also
putting in good performances, Ryan Clarke, Callum Hutchings, Jack

Tivvy U11's 2 v 2 Phoenix Club
Tiverton Town and Phoenix Club shared
four goals and the points in a very competitive game of two halves
with Phoenix grabbing two goals in the first half with both teams
having a go but the chances came for Tivvy who were unlucky to go
into the second half with a 2-0 deficit.
The second half was all
Tivvy and they scored soon after the break through a good strike
from Callum Hutchings, pinning Phoenix Club into their own half
looking for that deserved equaliser, Tivvy were always on the
break. After hitting the woodwork on several occasions and finding
it very hard to get past the Phoenix Club goalkeeper Joey Sellick
who was in excellent form Tivvy managed to get the well earned
equaliser in the last seven minutes with a well struck effort from
Ollie Morgan finding the back of the net. The pressure was mounting
with Tivvy pounding the visitors defence at all times it looked like
the yellows were going to grab the victory but time ran out.
It was a strong
performance from Tivvy Under 11’s and it could have been more goals
for the yellows if it wasn’t for the visiting goalkeeper Joey
Sellick putting in an outstanding man of the match performance in a
well contested game.

October 2007 Exeter Friendly League
Tivvy U11's 6 v 0 West Exe Athletic
With Tiverton Town Under 11’s
nearly back to full strength, they were back to their best against a
useful West Exe side. Although the score line implies a one sided
result that was not the case with excellent defensive displays from
Callum Hutchings and Ollie Morgan restricting the West Exe boys to
having one shot on goal in the first half which was dealt with well
by goalkeeper Ryan Clarke. This allowed Tivvy’s midfield of Scott
McMillan, Euan Howells, Jack Dickson and Reece Kingdom to experiment
and get the ball into the right areas to the forward line of Jack
Rainey and Josh Bruce with Rainey setting up the first goal for
Scott Townsend to shoot home after 20 minutes. With some more great
passing Tivvy opened up the visitors defence and within minutes the
yellows were 2-0 up with a good finish from Jack Dickson and just
before the break Jack Rainey got on the end of a cross from Scott
Townsend to hit home the 3rd to make it 3-0 at half
time. Early in the second half West Exe never looked like giving up
but it was Tivvy who continued to push forward and dominate large
parts of the game creating more and more chances and getting several
shots on goal through Callum Hutchings and Ollie Morgan getting
forward forcing the West Exe keeper to pull of some excellent saves
and also going close was Scott Townsend and Jack Dickson. With the
creative play and passing from debutant Calem Curreen who was always
looking for the pass and to work the ball forward with this time
into the path of Rainey who broke through the West Exe defence to
guide his shot into the net to make it 4-0 and within a few minutes
grabbing his hatrick. With all the players playing their part to
get the ball forward Ollie Morgan passed through to Jack Rainey in a
wide position who drilled the ball across the face of the goal for
Euan Howells to slot home the yellows 6th. It was a
strong all round team performance but man of the match goes to Scott
McMillan for his work rate from box to box.

Tivvy U11's 1 v 2 Culm United
Tiverton Town Under 11’s hosted local rivals Culm United and went
into the game with players missing and goalkeeper Ryan Clarke who
was sorely missed leaving Tivvy down to the bare bones. In the
early stages of the game it was fairly even with both teams
cancelling each other out and as the half moved on Tivvy seemed to
apply more pressure winning more of the possession and looking the
more likely to get that first goal but their normal passing and
movement let them down especially the final ball in and around the
oppositions box. Culms defence having to work the harder in the
first half going into the break at 0-0. With Euan Howells not having
a save to make in the first half Tivvy changed goalkeepers and
within 5 minutes Tivvy found themselves 2 goals down with very
sloppy play and a lack of shape. The game then opened up with both
teams having chances and it was Tivvy who piled on the pressure in
the final 15 minutes who deservedly managed to get a goal back from
a well taken penalty from Jack Rainey with Culm hand balling in the
box, which gave Tivvy late hope with 5 minutes remaining. Tivvy
were trying very hard for the leveller but it wasn’t to be and time
ran out but not taking anything away from Culm who are a good side
but the Tivvy players can find themselves very unlucky to be on the
losing end and felt they deserved to take something out of the
game. Strong performances from Callum Hutchings, Scott McMillan,
Jack Rainey, Ollie Morgan and Reece Kingdom.

Tivvy U11's 4 v 0 Stoke Hill Juniors
Tiverton Town Under 11’s were again
in excellent form to record their 5th consecutive victory
up against tough opposition in Stoke Hill Spurs who were out to test
the home side. It was a fairly well balanced game for the first 15
minutes with Tivvy breaking into the oppositions half more and more
as the half progressed leaving goalkeeper Ryan Clarke with a quiet
game and causing Stoke Hill’s defence all sorts of problems and it
was a matter of time before Tivvy grabbed their first goal through
Ollie Morgan on the edge of the penalty box with a fine strike. As
Stoke Hill fought to get back into the game they were soon cancelled
out through some excellent defending from Callum Hutchings Thomas
Parkins and Ollie Morgan with Tivvy finishing the first half much
the stronger. In the second half Tivvy started the brighter with
some excellent movement and passing from the midfield to the forward
line pressing Stoke Hills back line at all times forcing their
keeper to pull off some fine saves to keep the score at 1-0. With
good link up play from Scott McMillan, Jack Rainey Josh Bruce and
Scott Townsend in and around the Stoke Hill box it was Jack Rainey
who fired home Tivvy’s second. Tivvy worked the ball forward into
wide areas with Jack Dickson making some good runs down the right
and Scott Townsend down the left and linking up well to create more
chances with Jack Rainey scoring the third from a power shot from
Callum Hutchings and again with excellent movement and passing Scott
Townsend picked up the ball and struck home Tivvy’s fourth to round
off a good competitive game with the yellows putting in a fine
display of football. Also playing well on the day was Reece
Kingdom.

Brixington Blues 1 v 3
Tivvy U11's
Tiverton Town Under 11’s were away to Brixington Blues and found
themselves playing on a much smaller tighter pitch than they would
of liked having to adapt quickly pressurising the hosts defence
right from the very start. It wasn’t long before Ollie Morgan
opened the scoring on the turn on the edge of the box with a low
drive into the right hand corner to put Tivvy 1 up. Although
Brixington were a very physical side they managed to get the ball
forward on a couple of occasions only to be cancelled out by the
defensive line of Callum Hutchings and Thomas Parkins who were on
their toes to block out any chance of Brixington getting back into
the game. Tivvy were well on top and always looking threatening
every time they broke forward and with a nice exchange of passes
Tivvy got their just rewards to make it 2 – 0 from a forced
deflected goal just before half time. In the second half Tivvy
carried on where they left off taking the game to the home side with
a few chances missed and then against the run of play Brixington
managed to grab a goal back to make it 2-1, at this stage of the
game it was becoming a bit of a battle with the yellows standing
strong in all positions but the visiting yellows carried on passing
and moving the better and with that bit more urgency about them.
Half way through the second half Callum Hutchings found himself in a
good wide position to get forward and cross the ball in which was
hit first time by Jack Rainey to score the third, for a well
deserved victory. Man of the match goes to the whole team,
goalkeeper Ryan Clarke, Callum Hutchings, Thomas Parkins, Jack
Dickson, Jordan Haskings, Reece Kingdom, Scott McMillan, Jack

Tivvy U11's 5 v 1 Heavitree Youth
Having to be without a fixture last
week Tivvy Under 11’s were back in the groove and had to work hard
from the very start against a well organised Heavitree Youth side
who took an early lead in the first 5 minutes. Tivvy knew they had
a game on their hands and reacted in the way you would expect from
them, and it wasn’t long before they levelled through a well worked
ball and a good finish from Jack Dickson to make it 1-1. As the
half progressed the yellows were getting more and more on top with
their typical trade mark passing Scott Townsend struck a first time
ball straight into the back of the net., and with continued pressure
2 more goals from Scott McMillan and Jack Rainey saw the first half
finish at 4-1. In the second half Tivvy continued to work well for
one another and with the opposition trying to get back in the game
with every opportunity they had getting forward Tivvy cancelled out
with good all round defensive play. With the yellows continuing to
move the ball around and good passing and movement created another
opening for a shooting chance for Ollie Morgan to finish off the
game 5-1. Man of the match goes to Ollie Morgan. Also playing well
Ryan Clarke (GK), Thomas Parkins, Callum Hutchings, Reece Kingdom,
Josh Bruce and Euan Howells.

Tedburn St Mary 1 v 10
Tivvy U11's
Tiverton Town traveled
to Tedburn St Mary and maintained their impressive start to the
season with a 10-1 demolition of Tedburn. Scott Townsend started
the goal feast with Ollie Morgan and Scott McMillan finding the net
in the first half. Any hope of the home team making a second half
revival were dashed with Tivvy running away with the play 7 more
goals followed from Ollie Morgan (2), Jack Rainey (2), Josh Bruce
(2) and a free kick from Jack Dickson also finding the net to round
off the rout, however with great team spirit from Tedburn they
scored a late consolation goal. Also having good games were Ryan
Clarke, Callum Hutchings, Thomas Parkins, Reece Kingdom and Euan
Howells.
8th September 2007 League
Tivvy U11's 5 v 0 Topsham Town
Tivvy got off to a great
start to the season beating Topsham Town 5 – 0. and adapting well
to playing on a large pitch. Although Tivvy had the majority of the
play and created a few chances for themselves it was the Topsham
Town keeper who kept the yellows at bay in the first half pulling
off some excellent saves. In the second half Tivvy started where
they left off and were looking to score every time they went
forward, early on it was Scott Townsend who found the breakthrough
from a well worked cross and by now Tivvy were creating chance after
chance and needed that second goal and Jack Rainey soon put the
yellows 2 in front. Tivvy were now on top of their game with some
excellent football and another well worked goal with Thomas Parkins
scoring a well worked 3rd also on the score sheet with a
good strike hitting the back of the net was Ollie Morgan and
finishing off the game with the 5th goal Euan Howells.
On the day it was an excellent all round team performance in very
hot conditions and man of the match goes to the whole team who
worked very hard from front to back Ryan Clarke, Callum Hutchings,
Euan Howells, Thomas Parkins, Scott McMillan, Ollie Morgan, Jack
Dickson, Scott Townsend, Jack Rainey, Reece Kingdom, Josh Bruce and
Dominic Laskey.

Friendly
Tivvy U11's 14 v 0 Bovey Tracey
An excellent team performance saw Tiverton U11s run
out winners in this friendly game against Bovey Tracey. A spirited
performance by the visitors could not cope with Tiverton who were
hungry for goals today. We would like to thank Bovey Tracey for the
game and wish them the best of success for the upcoming season.
